As a tuba player, I studied music performance at Eastern Michigan University and graduated in 2013. While at EMU I grew to love teaching and performing and sought out opportunities to explore and develop both of those passions. I now have an active private studio of young musicians and perform and teach regularly as a low brass specialist and electric bassist. I also remain active as a composer and arranger.
In the summer I direct the Adrian City Band in Adrian Michigan, the nation's second oldest continuously active community band.
